Hi! I'm Cheryl Maddalena! I currently live in Boise, Idaho (but I didn't always) and have training in EFT acupressure tapping and Eden Energy Medicine (but I didn't always). 

 

Long, long ago, before I'd heard of any kind of energy practices or even considered being any kind of helping professional,  I got an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Technical Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. CMU is a top 10 school for science, engineering, and technology degrees, and the experience was pretty strenuous.  It only took a few months of my actual career to realize it wasn't a good fit for me! I worked for a four years as a product development engineer at Procter and Gamble and The Clorox Company while I planned my escape.

My next step was to get a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, which focuses on melding the ideas of Eastern and Western medicine. (If you've read this far, you're already realizing that historically I have found achievement to be helpfully organizing for me! Once I began working in my new field, I completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Emotional Freedom Techniques, an energy-based coaching and self-help technique based on the newly emerging field of energy psychology, that uses acupressure tapping designed to reduce physiological arousal. My first training was in 2013 with Gwyneth Moss, an EFT Master who was an early trainee of the originator of EFT, Gary Craig.

Not wanting to miss any insight I could get from professional associations, I continued my EFT training in Clinical EFT with the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology through their Advanced Practitioner level in 2015.

At that point, though, I still had questions that weren't being answered. Why were some clients getting ideal results, while other clients got stuck? 

 

This led me to Eden Energy Medicine, a hands-on practice designed to help clients balance their energies and increase wellness. Eden uses energy testing (sometimes called 'muscle testing') and a comprehensive understanding of how energy moves in organized patterns to find where energy may be blocked or insufficient and how it can be helped to flow again. I became a Certified Practitioner of Eden Energy Medicine in 2020 and a Clinical Practitioner of Eden Energy Medicine in 2022.
